The Brisbane Truck Show – 2 Years On

It’s hard to imagine it has been 2 years since the last Brisbane Truck Show, what a 2 years! We at Lucidity have been extremely busy during these challenging 2 years tackling industry legislation updates, market pressures, remote working, employee welfare, border restrictions, supply chain and logistical constraints. Even with these challenges Lucidity has successfully grown the business which has led to a recruitment drive in all areas with new employees arriving in engineering, sales, production and marketing.

Just a snap shot of some of the great achievements Lucidity has seen since the last truck show:  increase its customer base with new product offerings, shortlist nominations in the HVIA Awards for our Integrated Distribution Module range (IDM) in the Innovation category and our EBS Status Lamp in the Safety Award category, increase in staffing levels to provided even more benefits to the transport industry, new company website and a real push on future R&D activities. Lucidity has successfully achieved all this while supporting our existing customers with the same level of support they expect; this is an achievement we all at Lucidity are extremely proud of.

Lucidity has seen last year’s challenge with many of the staff working remotely, like most organizations. Lucidity joined the video conferencing world which now forms part of our day-to-day business and customer support. With the adaptation of these collaboration tools this led to even stronger customer communication and support when we could not attend technical and commercial meetings face-to-face due to the travel restrictions.

With the major disruption in logistics across the industry with excessive lead-times many of our customers stressed concern with their own supply base. Through strong management, leadership and close customer relationships not only did Lucidity provide an uninterrupted supply to all our customers but also supported our customer base when they were encountering issues with their existing material supply and material shortages. Even with all these challenges Lucidity found time to introduce new technologies into the field and see them being a success.

Se we have come full circles to this year’s Brisbane Truck Show with Lucidity being a proud presenter at this leading event again. This year Lucidity will showcase our new technologies highlighted above along with new lighting solutions and other technology updates. As a leader in trailer lighting, wiring, DC-DC charging and DG applications many of our products will be seen at the Truck Show displayed on numerous customer partners, you may not even realize it’s just seamless integration. Some of the highlights we will be presenting at this year’s show include, updates to lighting, the new IDM series, new junction box range, new RF development and DC-DC Charging, all of which are designed and manufactured in Australia to meet the rigors of the Australian environment.
